Online freebies are different from items you collect. You usually claim them through a website, and the catch, if there is one, is in the small print.
Read what you give
A sample that only needs a name and a delivery address is a normal trade. A freebie that needs card details for a trial deserves more care. Trials can renew into a paid plan if you do not cancel.
Check the limits
Many offers are limited by date or number, so they can end early. Some are for new customers only. The page you land on should say so.
Use a separate email address
Signing up for several offers can bring marketing emails. A separate address keeps your main inbox clean.
Keep a note
If a trial needs cancelling, set a reminder for before it ends.
